About the Gun

Fourth-generation subcompact pistol in 10 mm Auto features a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps that allow adjustment of grip circumference and angle for different hand sizes. It includes an enlarged reversible magazine release, a dual-recoil-spring assembly, and rough-textured frame surfaces. The slide houses standard fixed sights, and the design maintains the short-recoil, locked-breech operating system with a striker-fired trigger mechanism.

Analysis

This variant applied the Gen4 ergonomic and recoil-management updates to the subcompact 10 mm platform, providing the cartridge's ballistic performance in a concealable size often chosen for backcountry carry, hunting, or defensive roles against larger threats. The dual-spring setup was intended to moderate the substantial recoil impulse in the shorter grip and lighter slide while supporting reliable function with a range of 10 mm loads, from milder target ammunition to full-power defensive or hunting rounds. The model has seen use among users seeking compact power, though its recoil characteristics and limited capacity relative to full-size 10 mm options influence its appeal in specific applications. Quantities on the secondary market are lower than those of the 9 mm subcompacts, contributing to firmer pricing.
