About the Gun

Fourth-generation long-slide pistol in 9 mm features a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps that allow adjustment of grip circumference and angle for different hand sizes. It includes an enlarged reversible magazine release, a dual-recoil-spring assembly, and rough-textured frame surfaces. The slide houses an adjustable rear sight paired with a fixed front sight and maintains the short-recoil, locked-breech operating system with a striker-fired trigger mechanism along with an extended barrel and sight radius.

Analysis

This variant applied the Gen4 ergonomic and recoil-management updates to a competition-oriented long-slide platform. The extended barrel and sight radius provided increased muzzle velocity and a longer sight plane suited for precision or competitive shooting, while the adjustable rear sight supported windage and elevation changes. The model saw use among competitive shooters and users seeking enhanced sighting options on a full-size platform. Production volumes were lower than those of standard service models.
