The Model 215 provided the same functional accuracy and reliability as the Model 208 series at a lower original price point, making it accessible to a broader segment of competitive shooters without requiring the full range of ergonomic adjustments found on the 208 or 208S. The pistol included provisions under the barrel for optional weight attachments to modify balance and recoil behavior, while external finishing was simplified compared to higher-end siblings, with bead-blasted rather than polished surfaces and a less elaborate front sight base. It performed consistently with standard-velocity .22 LR ammunition in target disciplines, though it saw less documentation in major international records compared to the adjustable-grip variants.
