Analysis

This .45 Auto pistol from a renowned German manufacturer offers a compelling package for shooters seeking a compact, duty-grade firearm. Its accuracy is noteworthy, delivering consistent performance at typical defensive ranges, while the ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip for a wide range of hand sizes, aided by adjustable backstraps. Reliability is a hallmark, with the firearm functioning flawlessly across various ammunition types and conditions, making it a trusted choice for carry or home defense. The trigger pull is crisp in single-action mode, averaging around 4.5 pounds, though the double-action pull is heavier at approximately 11 pounds, which may require acclimation. Felt recoil is manageable for the caliber, thanks to the robust frame, though it can be sharp for newer shooters. On the downside, maintenance can be intricate, requiring attention to detail, and replacement parts may not always be readily available, potentially posing challenges for long-term ownership.
