About the Gun

The 10X Victor models consist of custom-assembled target pistols built on the Victor frame, utilizing hand-selected components for enhanced fit and function. These pistols incorporate a ventilated rib barrel that integrates the front and rear sights for a consistent sight plane, along with a drilled and tapped barrel to accommodate optics mounts. Grips are black epoxy-finished ambidextrous wood panels. Finish options include matte parkerized for select custom variants and two-tone configurations on others, with each pistol accompanied by a test target and an optional authentication letter from the manufacturer.

Production

First production ran from the late 1970s to early 1980s. Second limited assembly ran from the early 1990s to around 2013.

Analysis

In the rimfire target handgun market, the 10X Victor variants occupy a niche among precision-oriented shooters, particularly those engaged in bullseye competition where the ventilated rib aids in maintaining sight alignment during extended sessions. Collector interest centers on the custom assembly process, which differentiates these from standard Victor production, though variations in finish may influence perceived uniformity in sets. Availability remains limited due to the hand-built nature, contributing to steady demand in secondary markets focused on High Standard's later Texas-era output.
