About the Gun

The BFR(Biggest Finest Revolver) is domestically manufactured utilizing the familiar Ruger-design single-action transfer bar firing system and loading gate/cylinder rotation release mechanism, with a beefier upper frame and barrel enclosure. Each BFR is meticulously inspected and hand polished, hand fit and hand assembled, utilizing state of the art tough stainless alloys throughout. Frames, grip frames and cylinders are machined in precision CNC equipment with a proprietary process developed specifically for the BFR. This process insures the dimensional integrity of all parts.

Analysis

This revolver in .450 Marlin caliber offers notable performance for big-game hunting and long-range shooting. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering tight groupings even at extended distances, thanks to a well-balanced design and quality barrel construction. The ergonomics are solid, with a grip that accommodates most hand sizes, ensuring comfort during prolonged use. Reliability is a strong point, as it consistently cycles heavy loads without malfunction under proper care. However, maintenance can be demanding, requiring regular attention to prevent wear on components due to the powerful cartridge. Parts availability may pose challenges, as replacements are not always readily accessible. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 4 pounds in single action, though some users might find it slightly heavy in double action. Felt recoil is substantial, potentially limiting its appeal to shooters unaccustomed to magnum calibers, necessitating proper technique to manage effectively.
