About the Gun

The BFR(Biggest Finest Revolver) is domestically manufactured utilizing the familiar Ruger-design single-action transfer bar firing system and loading gate/cylinder rotation release mechanism, with a beefier upper frame and barrel enclosure. Each BFR is meticulously inspected and hand polished, hand fit and hand assembled, utilizing state of the art tough stainless alloys throughout. Frames, grip frames and cylinders are machined in precision CNC equipment with a proprietary process developed specifically for the BFR. This process insures the dimensional integrity of all parts.

Analysis

This revolver in .50 AE caliber is a formidable piece of engineering, designed for those seeking raw power in a single-action platform. Its accuracy is noteworthy, delivering tight groupings at moderate ranges when paired with proper ammunition and a steady hand. The ergonomics are well-considered, with a grip that accommodates larger hands comfortably, though smaller-framed shooters may find it cumbersome. Reliability is a strong point, as the robust construction handles the intense pressures of the cartridge with consistency. However, maintenance can be demanding due to the complexity of cleaning such a high-powered revolver, and parts availability may pose challenges for repairs. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 3-4 pounds, which aids precision. Felt recoil, as expected with this caliber, is substantial, potentially limiting its appeal to shooters unaccustomed to heavy handguns. It’s a specialized tool, best suited for experienced users.
