About the Gun

C-Series Single-Stack Model. In 1999, Para-Ordnance introduced their LDA (Light Double Action) trigger system. The LDA was touted first truly successful double-action 1911 pistol, every shot actually being double-action only with an extremely light trigger pull. This eliminated the need for cocked and locked carry, common with 1911 style pistols.

Analysis

This .45 Auto pistol offers a compelling package for shooters seeking a reliable carry option. Its accuracy is noteworthy, delivering consistent groupings at typical defensive ranges, thanks to a well-designed barrel and sight system. The ergonomics are a strong point, with a grip that accommodates various hand sizes, promoting a secure hold during extended sessions. Reliability is solid, functioning well across a range of ammunition types with minimal malfunctions in testing. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5 pounds, which aids in precise shot placement. However, felt recoil can be sharp due to the compact frame, potentially challenging for less experienced users. On the downside, maintenance requires attention to detail, as disassembly can be intricate. Parts availability may also be limited compared to more common platforms, and some shooters might find the weight a bit heavy for daily carry. Overall, it’s a capable choice with considerations for specific user needs.

Great carry gun

Little on the heavy side if all steel, but still very nice as a belt gun.
