About the Gun

The 1911 Emperor Scorpion is a single-action 1911-style pistol available in full-size and Carry lengths. It features a stainless-steel frame and slide finished in Flat Dark Earth PVD, contrasted by dark controls. Dark G10 Piranha-textured grips (often with an integrated magwell) and SIGLITE night sights are standard. Many versions include an accessory rail and forward cocking serrations. The Fastback variants use a rounded grip and mainspring housing profile. Controls follow the classic 1911 layout with grip safety and ambidextrous thumb safety.

Analysis

SIG introduced the Emperor Scorpion as an elevated version of its earlier Scorpion models, applying a durable Flat Dark Earth PVD coating and refined detailing to create a distinctive appearance within the 1911 lineup. The series expanded the tactical-oriented Scorpion concept with improved grip texture, night sights, and optional Fastback contouring for better concealment on the Carry models. It retained SIG’s external extractor and modern internal components while offering both full-size and Commander-length options to suit duty, range, or carry use.
