Analysis

The P220 Scorpion variants combined a tactical Flat Dark Earth finish with the ergonomic improvements of the Elite package on the full-size P220 platform. The standard model offered the refined handling of the beavertail, front serrations, and short-reset trigger in a conventional configuration, while the Scorpion TB added a threaded barrel for suppressor use along with increased length and weight. These models were produced in limited numbers primarily in 2012–2015 as SIG Sauer expanded colored-finish and suppressor-ready options on the P220 before shifting primary focus to the Legion series and current Elite models. The heavier construction and Elite features provided better recoil control, making the Scorpion group a distinct tactical expression of the platform.
