About the Gun

The P245 is a compact, single-stack, double-action/single-action pistol chambered in .45 Auto. It features a stainless steel slide over an aluminum alloy frame with traditional SIG controls and a decock lever. Nitron models have a black finish, while Two-Tone versions feature a natural stainless slide with a black frame.

Analysis

SIG introduced the P245 as a compact .45 ACP option in the P220 series to meet demand for a powerful yet more concealable pistol. It was designed to deliver .45 Auto performance in a smaller package while retaining the handling characteristics of the larger P220. The model was offered in Nitron and Two-Tone finishes and produced in limited numbers until it was discontinued around 2012. The P245 filled a niche for users wanting a traditional DA/SA .45 in a compact form factor.
