About the Gun

The P365X is a micro-compact, striker-fired polymer pistol that pairs the short slide and barrel of the original P365 with a longer X-Series grip module. It uses a flat-faced X-Series trigger and an optics-ready slide. Early examples carried the rear sight on the removable optic cover plate; later production moved the XRAY3 rear sight onto the slide itself with a separate cover plate for the optic cut. The frame uses SIG’s proprietary accessory interface, and the model accepts the standard range of P365 magazines.

Production ran from 2020 through approximately 2022–2023.

Market value

MSRP at production was around $600. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $380–$500.

Analysis

SIG introduced the P365X to combine the concealability of the short P365 slide with the improved grip and control of the longer X-Series module, while adding a flat trigger and factory optics readiness. It occupies the middle ground between the original micro-compact P365 and the longer-slide P365XL. The change in rear-sight placement—from the optic plate to the slide—reflects the broader industry shift toward maintaining iron sights when a red dot is mounted. Across both sight arrangements, the P365X remains a core optics-ready carry configuration within the P365 family.
