About the Gun

Second generation alloy frame double-stack semiautomatic pistol based on the the first generation Model 59. Early variant had a rounded trigger guard and safety lever on left side only. Later variant had a squared trigger guard and ambidextrous safety levers. Fixed and adjustable sight variants.

Production

Production of this firearm began in 1979 and continued until 1987. It was part of a series introduced during that period, with manufacturing primarily occurring in the early to mid-1980s before being discontinued.
