Analysis

This 9mm semi-automatic pistol offers a solid blend of performance and practicality for both novice and experienced shooters. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent groupings at moderate ranges, thanks to a well-designed barrel and sight system. The ergonomics are a strong point, with a grip that accommodates various hand sizes, promoting a secure hold during firing. Reliability is generally high, functioning well under diverse conditions with proper care. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome, requiring more effort than some modern designs for disassembly and cleaning. Parts availability may also pose challenges, as replacement components are not as widely accessible. The trigger pull is smooth but slightly heavier than average, which might affect precision for some users. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most, though shooters sensitive to kick might notice it during extended sessions. Overall, it’s a capable choice with a few practical considerations.

The slightly Younger Brother to my 469, and one that I carried on the job during the mud-80s. It Has, and will continue to outlast more contemporary pistols in handling and similar specs., eg: Length, Weight(26 oz), and 12+1 mags (and the 30 round Model 59 mags I use at the range).

One of my carry choices since 1988. Has never let me down. Even with its short barrel very accurate and easy on recoil.
