Analysis

This compact semi-automatic pistol in .380 Auto is a notable choice for concealed carry and personal defense due to its well-designed ergonomics and solid accuracy at close to moderate ranges. The grip fits comfortably in most hands, facilitating a secure hold, while the overall balance aids in precise shot placement. Reliability is generally consistent with proper maintenance, though it demands regular cleaning to prevent malfunctions, which can be a drawback for users seeking low-maintenance options. The trigger pull is crisp in single-action mode, averaging around 6 pounds, but heavier in double-action at roughly 13 pounds, potentially affecting first-shot accuracy for some shooters. Felt recoil is moderate for the caliber, manageable with practice. However, sourcing replacement parts can be challenging, and the design may not suit users with larger hands due to its compact frame, limiting its universal appeal.

Great Gun, after a modification
By SeaStone71 on 03 Sep 2021
I bought my ppk/s new. The plastic grips were thin and felt cheap. I replaced them with aftermarket wood. My first 700 rounds had at least 1 failure to feed for each magazine. RN, FN, and HP alike. I tried all the brands of ammo I could get my hands on during the ammo shortage. no luck. I replaced the 20# factory recoil spring with a wolf 17# spring and, like magic, it will now eat any ammo I throw at it.
