Analysis

This 9mm pistol offers a solid option for shooters seeking a dependable sidearm with a nod to classic design. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent groupings at typical defensive ranges, while the ergonomic grip fits comfortably in most hands, aiding in control during extended sessions. Reliability is a strong point, with the firearm performing well under varied conditions, provided it receives proper care. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome due to a design that requires attention to detail during disassembly and cleaning. Availability of replacement parts may pose a challenge, particularly for those outside regions with established support networks. The trigger pull is crisp but on the heavier side, which might not suit all users, especially those preferring a lighter break. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most shooters, though it could feel pronounced for beginners or those with smaller frames.

Mine will shoot anything but NATO spec 9mm, for some reason the firing pin would get light hits on the primers so I would have to use the double action function to fire them off. I don't know if that is an issue with the cz99 as a whole or just mine.
