About the Gun

The 200 is a vest-pocket SA blowback .25 Auto with an internal hammer, a grip safety, and a frame-mounted thumb safety. Standard guns are blued steel. Guns with Astra-logo grips use coarser curved slide serrations. Firecat-marked grips have finer, straight angled slide serrations.

Analysis

Astra introduced the 200 in 1920 as its long-running .25 Auto pocket pistol, after the earlier Victoria/1924 guns. It kept the grip safety through the whole run. Slide serrations and grip markings changed during production; U.S. guns were sold as the Firecat. Import of this size ended after 1968; Spanish production ran into the late 1960s. Used 200s trade as common Spanish vest-pocket pistols.
