Analysis

This iconic .45 Auto pistol from a renowned manufacturer offers a blend of historical design and practical performance. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent groupings at typical defensive ranges, thanks to a well-engineered barrel and sight system. Ergonomically, the grip design fits most hands comfortably, promoting a natural shooting stance. Reliability is a strong suit, with a proven track record in various conditions when properly maintained. However, maintenance can be demanding, requiring regular attention to prevent wear on critical components. Parts availability may pose challenges, as some components are less common in today’s market. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 4-5 pounds, which aids precision but may feel stiff for newer shooters. Felt recoil is noticeable due to the robust caliber, though the weight of the firearm helps mitigate excessive muzzle flip, making it manageable with practice.

Colt re-issued 70 series

I have 2 of these. One is stainless and it has never been shot I have had this one for 15 years (2005). It was bought brand new. I,also, have the blued version. I have shot this one many times. It is very accurate and reliable. I have had this one for 16 years. Fit and finish are very good on both. I have had no problems on the blued version at all.
