Analysis

This .45 Auto pistol offers a solid blend of performance and design for shooters seeking a compact carry option. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent groupings at moderate ranges, thanks to a well-balanced frame and quality barrel. The ergonomics are thoughtfully executed, with a grip that accommodates various hand sizes, enhancing control during use. Reliability is a strong suit, as it cycles smoothly with a variety of ammunition under typical conditions. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome, requiring more effort for disassembly and cleaning compared to similar models. Parts availability may also pose a challenge, as sourcing replacements could be difficult for some users. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5 pounds, which aids precision, though the felt recoil is noticeable due to the lightweight design, potentially affecting follow-up shots for less experienced shooters. Overall, it’s a capable choice with minor drawbacks to consider.

Great gun for the money

This has all the features I'm looking for in a compact .45. It has an aluminum frame and steel slide(not a polymer fan). It has a decocker and a hammer (also not a fan of striker fired pistols), great ergonomics, ambidextrous controls, good sights. It is surprisingly accurate. I had an AMT Backup 45 that has been shelved due to my love of this pistol.
