About the Gun

The 21 V MOS is a full-size pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It features internal modifications to the slide rear plate, striker channel, and trigger housing geometry. These internal changes were introduced as part of the V-series platform in late 2025. This model maintains the established full-size dimensions, magazine capacity, and mechanical layout of prior G21 variants. The pistol uses a standard trigger shoe while retaining the Safe Action system with its three internal safeties. The slide incorporates the Modular Optic System with removable adapter plates.

Analysis

The V-series designation on the 21 V MOS reflects Glock's implementation of specific internal geometry adjustments to the slide rear plate, striker channel, and trigger housing. These changes were introduced in 2025 as part of a platform-wide update aimed at regulatory compliance and reduced compatibility with certain aftermarket components. The external profile, grip dimensions, and magazine compatibility remain unchanged from previous full-size .45 ACP models. The MOS slide preparation uses the traditional adapter-plate system. This configuration positions the 21 V MOS as the optics-ready full-size .45 ACP offering in the V-series lineup. It is distinct from earlier non-V G21 models and from any Gen6 platform pistols, which incorporate different ergonomic updates and optic systems.
