About the Gun

Fourth-generation subcompact pistol in .45 ACP features a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps that allow adjustment of grip circumference and angle for different hand sizes. It includes an enlarged reversible magazine release, a dual-recoil-spring assembly, and rough-textured frame surfaces. The slide houses standard fixed sights, and the design maintains the short-recoil, locked-breech operating system with a striker-fired trigger mechanism.

Analysis

This variant applied the Gen4 ergonomic and recoil-management updates to the subcompact .45 Auto platform, delivering the cartridge's terminal performance in a concealable size favored for deep concealment or backup carry. The dual-spring setup was intended to moderate felt recoil in the shorter grip and lighter slide while supporting reliable function with a range of .45 Auto loads. The model has maintained steady appeal among users who prioritize the caliber's stopping power in a compact package, though its capacity and recoil characteristics limit its role compared with larger-frame .45 options. Quantities reaching the secondary market are moderate, resulting in relatively stable pricing for serviceable examples.
