About the Gun

Fourth-generation long-slide pistol in .45 ACP features a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps that allow adjustment of grip circumference and angle for different hand sizes. It includes an enlarged reversible magazine release, a dual-recoil-spring assembly, and rough-textured frame surfaces. The slide houses standard fixed sights, and the design maintains the short-recoil, locked-breech operating system with a striker-fired trigger mechanism along with an extended barrel and sight radius.

Analysis

This variant applied the Gen4 ergonomic and recoil-management updates to a long-slide .45 Auto platform intended for competition or duty use where a longer sight radius and increased muzzle velocity were prioritized. The extended barrel and sight plane supported improved accuracy potential compared with standard-length .45 models, while the dual-spring setup was intended to moderate recoil in the larger frame. The model saw adoption among competitive shooters and some law enforcement users, though production volumes remained lower than those of core service pistols.
