Analysis

This .45 Auto pistol offers a straightforward design tailored for budget-conscious shooters seeking a reliable defensive firearm. Its accuracy is commendable for close-range engagements, delivering consistent performance within typical self-defense distances. The ergonomics are functional, with a grip that accommodates most hand sizes, though some users may find it less refined compared to higher-end models. Reliability is a strong point, as it cycles well with standard ammunition, though it can be finicky with certain hollow-point loads. On the downside, maintenance can be cumbersome due to a less intuitive disassembly process, and sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges. The trigger pull is notably heavy, often exceeding 8 pounds, which could affect precision for less experienced shooters. Felt recoil is manageable for the caliber, though it’s more pronounced due to the polymer frame’s lighter weight, requiring a firm grip for control.

OK, I paid $100 bucks for it when I bought it in 2001 and it has a value of $115 now Hahahaha. This one is a steel frame. They (the JH Model), they are JHP now, I guess the 'P' is for polymer frame, which they have now. NOW! This is GREAT gun, even empty I could bludgeon someone to death with it. It's accurate, powerful and fun.
