Analysis

This .45 Auto pistol offers a compelling package for shooters seeking a compact carry option. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering tight groupings at typical defensive ranges, thanks to a well-designed barrel and sight system. Ergonomically, the grip fits comfortably in most hands, with texturing that aids control during rapid fire. Reliability is a strong point, with consistent performance across various ammunition types, making it a dependable choice for personal defense. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 4-5 pounds, which enhances precision. Felt recoil, while noticeable due to the lightweight frame, remains manageable with proper grip technique. However, maintenance can be somewhat intricate, requiring attention to detail for disassembly and cleaning. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges, potentially frustrating owners over time. For some users, the compact size might compromise comfort during extended range sessions. Overall, it’s a solid option with minor caveats.

Ultra Carry +
By EdnHSV on 16 Jan 2023
I have not personally seen very many of these. I love Kimber's Ultra line. I've owned a good many Kimber's and always found them to be reliable. All the Kimber handguns I have owned did have one constraint. The guns like quality ammo. They don't function well with reloads in my experience. This is one of my favorite conceal carry pistols.
