Analysis

This 9mm compact pistol offers a solid option for shooters seeking a reliable carry or backup firearm. Its accuracy is commendable, with a well-designed barrel and sight system that aids in consistent shot placement at typical defensive ranges. Ergonomically, the grip fits comfortably in most hands, promoting a secure hold during firing. Reliability is a strong point, as it cycles smoothly with various ammunition types under standard conditions. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5 pounds in single action, though some may find the double-action pull heavier than preferred at about 10 pounds. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most users with proper grip technique. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome due to a complex disassembly process. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges, potentially frustrating owners needing repairs. Overall, it’s a capable choice with minor drawbacks for certain users.

Excellent Sub-Compact

After about 10 years of diligently looking, I finally found one in the hard case and with all of the candy. It is as close to new condition as it could be. I paid $617.00 plus shipping on GunBroker. It has the usual fantastic fit and finish that one comes to expect with all IWI products. Everything is tight as a drum. The cold hammered forged, chrome lined, polygonal barrel, the steel slide, everything. No exceptions. Three dot iron sights, very nice 3.5-4 lbs./ft DA/SA trigger. It certainly has some heft to it, but that helps with recoil. It is quite pleasant to shoot. This was my first 9mm. I've always shot .40 S&W or .45. All of my pistols, by the way, are IWI. When I find something that I like, I tend to stick with it. I have six in various iterations plus a Magnum Research MR40 that just may be the best of the lot. Paid $285.00 for it when it was announced. They had a special introductory price for a very limited time. Even at the MSRP today, I find it to be an amazing value.
