About the Gun

The BFR(Biggest Finest Revolver) is domestically manufactured utilizing the familiar Ruger-design single-action transfer bar firing system and loading gate/cylinder rotation release mechanism, with a beefier upper frame and barrel enclosure. Each BFR is meticulously inspected and hand polished, hand fit and hand assembled, utilizing state of the art tough stainless alloys throughout. Frames, grip frames and cylinders are machined in precision CNC equipment with a proprietary process developed specifically for the BFR. This process insures the dimensional integrity of all parts.

Analysis

This revolver in .480 Ruger caliber offers a robust platform for big-bore enthusiasts, delivering exceptional accuracy thanks to its precision-engineered barrel and solid frame construction. The ergonomics are well-suited for larger hands, with a grip design that aids in managing the significant felt recoil inherent to this powerful cartridge. Reliability is a key asset, as the firearm consistently performs under demanding conditions, making it a trusted choice for hunting or range use. The trigger pull is crisp and predictable, averaging around 4-5 pounds in single-action mode, which enhances shot placement. On the downside, maintenance can be more involved due to the complexity of the design and the stresses of the high-powered round. Parts availability may pose challenges, as replacements are not as widely stocked as for more common calibers. Additionally, the recoil can be daunting for less experienced shooters, potentially limiting its appeal.
