Analysis

The Model 3913TSW represents the tactical evolution of the 3900-series compact 9mm pistols, incorporating upgrades for enhanced defensive utility in the late 1990s handgun market. It features tighter tolerances and a delayed-unlocking system that reduces recoil and improves follow-up shot accuracy, appealing to users prioritizing reliability in low-light or rapid-engagement scenarios over basic models. Early variants (1998–1999) emphasize concealment with a cutaway grip frame and flush 7-round magazine, resulting in a shorter overall height that minimizes printing in IWB carry setups. Standard later models (2000–2006) add an accessory rail and revert to a full-length grip with 8-round capacity, broadening appeal for light/laser attachments while maintaining the series' slim profile and corrosion-resistant construction. In the used market, both hold steady values, with early examples often commanding premiums for scarcity.
