Analysis

This .357 Magnum revolver exemplifies a classic design with notable strengths for both novice and experienced shooters. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent performance at various ranges thanks to a well-balanced barrel and adjustable sights. The ergonomics are thoughtfully crafted, with a grip that accommodates most hand sizes, promoting comfort during extended use. Reliability is a key asset, as it functions smoothly under diverse conditions with minimal malfunctions when properly maintained. However, maintenance can be somewhat demanding, requiring regular attention to prevent wear on critical components. Availability of replacement parts may pose challenges, particularly for older units. The trigger pull is crisp in single-action mode, though it feels heavier in double-action, which might affect rapid follow-up shots. Felt recoil is significant, especially with full-power loads, potentially impacting control for less experienced users. Overall, it remains a solid choice with considerations for upkeep and shooter proficiency.

S&W .357

This is a double action pistol I inherited. This pistol is awesome. It's point on every time. It's more accurate at a distance when loaded with .38 ammo. This gun is "hawg leg" no doubt. It's not a great conceal carry gun by any measure but if your trying to bring down wild hogs or coyotes at close range this is your partner.

STRONG & BEAUTIFUL K-FRAME GUN
By quavis on 26 Sep 2021
Here is one powerful .357 Magnum Pistol of the great Smith & Wesson line that has returned after a 10 year absence, then reintroduced in 2014 even better with a K-frame (medium-profile) and comes with a red/orange insert front sight and a white outline rear adjustable sight. The double action trigger on this revolver is extremely smooth. One trip to the range showed me it has much kick but discipline and control is what I have to work on. A fun shooter!
